Idol's Plague is abrasive, raw, and chilling. The topics covered are heavy, and the sound of Idol's Plague is unmatched. Distorted breaks mixed with ambivalent synths, emotional vocals, and a booming bass creates a dispiriting atmosphere that manages to be heavily nostalgic as well. This is one of the records I can confidently call a masterpiece.
